![Buffalo Ridge Elementary writing club sponsor Tiffany Mitchell said on Jan. 10 Emma Locken, one of her former students, led the club's students in creating a story together. Each group member took turns holding the yarn ball and adding to the story before throwing the ball to the next person.
Mitchell said Locken starts each club meeting with a writing prompt and snacks.
"[Locken] truly wants to promote the love of writing," Mitchell said. "She herself is one of the most talented writers I've had the privilege of knowing. ... She is an absolute sweetheart. It's been a joy to continue having a relationship with her over the years."
