Springlike weather on its way to Gillette this week

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Temps will increase throughout the week as chances at precipitation fade. By the incoming weekend, daytime highs will be in the 70s.

Today’s high will be 56 degrees and will accompany winds blowing at between 8 and 13 mph. Tonight’s low will be 32 degrees and winds are expected to calm to 5–11 mph. Occasional gusts could reach 16 mph.

At the start of the week, temps will hit up to 65 degrees Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota. Winds will only peak between 7 and 9 mph. Tomorrow’s low will fall only to around 40 while winds should remain consistent with the rest of the day.

Precipitation will return Tuesday, but, unlike last week, it will come in the form of rain and not snow. Most of the precipitation will fall between noon and 3 p.m. and thunderstorms could come through the area after 3. Tuesday could get as warm as 64 degrees and will see 9–14 mph winds.

Rain will persist through midnight Tuesday. The evening will see a low of 36 degrees and winds between 10 and 14 mph.

Apart from Wednesday afternoon, rains will clear and not impact the area for the rest of the week. Temps will continue to incrementally increase through at least Saturday. See the detailed forecast below for more information.
