Friday to peak at 35 degrees before warming trend takes hold tomorrow

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Today will likely be the end of the colder weather system in place across eastern Wyoming. The coming days will be increasingly warm until peaking around 66 degrees Monday.

Before then, Gillette residents will have to finish the week with a daily high of 35 degrees and 13–21 mph winds that could make it feel as cold as 9 degrees outside. Furthermore, those winds could increase at moments to up to 31 mph.

Tonight’s low will be 21 degrees and will feature calmer, 5–11 mph winds that will only gust at up to about 16 mph.

By tomorrow morning, it should be apparent that a new system has taken effect. Saturday will be sunny and will peak at 45 degrees. Earlier in the day, however, windchill values could still make it feel just as wintry as today. Tomorrow night will only get down to 28 degrees.

Sunday will be an entire 10 degrees warmer than tomorrow at 55 degrees. The day will be mostly sunny, but somewhat spoiled by 9–15 mph winds. Sunday night will likely be 32 degrees.

By the start of the new week, the incoming warming trend will only continue. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s highs should be 66, 60, 61 and 65 degrees, respectively.
