GILLETTE, Wyo. — Keyhole State Park says the ice is off the reservoir, though water levels remain too low to have every boat ramp open as of April 3.
According to a recent park social media post, the reservoir is free of ice and the Coulter Bay boat ramp is in the water ready for use.
With that, water levels remain too low to open the Wind Creek ramp, Keyhole State Park says, adding that the water needs to rise by several inches to safely launch a boat.
“Park staff are continuously monitoring the water levels and the ramp when will be reopened when it is safe to do so,” the park’s post said. “Let’s hope for some precipitation!”
