LARAMIE, Wyo. — After announcing his intent to transfer out of the University of Wyoming for his final year of eligibility March 17 over Instagram, Wyoming’s star guard Obi Agbim has made a new post announcing his final landing spot: Baylor University.

“Prayer defeated my obstacles. Faith ensured my success. Blessed is an understatement! Beyond excited for the last ride,” Abgim said in his post while showing off his new threads.

His upcoming season as a graduate student with Baylor will be the last year he can participate in collegiate basketball. Thankfully for Agbim, Baylor is consistently making NCAA post-season appearances and deep Big 12 Championship runs. Notably, Baylor was 2021’s NCAA champion.

This year, Baylor made it as far as the Round of 32, where it lost in an 89–66 blowout to championship contender Duke.

Given the season that Agbim had with Wyoming in 2024–25, landing with Baylor makes sense. The Mountain West’s Newcomer of the Year averaged 17.6 points per game in the season on top of 3.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists. ESPN had even projected him to be the 20th most sought-after transfer while he was in the portal.

Agbim is a 6-foot-3 and 180-pound guard. For more information on his 2024–25 season stats and career before arriving at Wyoming, see his page on the UW Athletics website.
