Intoxication, March 25, South Douglas Highway, GPD
Officers arrested a 35-year-old man for intoxication after he was reportedly found unable to walk at a drug store bathroom on South Douglas Highway around 8:29 a.m. , Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said. The man had previously been discharged from the hospital and was returned for evaluation. Officers located a bottle of vodka and took the man into custody after he was discharged a second time.
Theft, March 25, Ariel Avenue, GPD
A 21-year-old man called the police at 3:54 p.m. to report his Milwaukee toolbox kit stolen from the back of a pickup that was parked on Ariel Avenue, Wasson said. The vehicle was unattended over the weekend and the kit’s contents were valued at over $2,000. The investigation is ongoing.
Fraud, March 26, West 10th Street, GPD
Officers responded to West 10th Street after a 50-year-old man called to report suspected fraud around 2:16 a.m., Wasson said. The man said he was online when he got a phone call from a health insurance company. He provided personal identifying information and paid the company $450. When he tried to call back later, the phone number was disconnected and he never got an email with his account information. The investigation is ongoing.
