CASPER, Wyo. — One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash near Kemmerer on Sunday.

According to a preliminary report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Charles Luthy, 86, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 30 to the U.S. 189 connector in a GMC when it gradually left the roadway to the right.

The pickup then struck a delineator post before hitting a raised dirt embankment, sending the vehicle airborne before it landed and came to an uncontrolled rest.

Conditions were clear and dry, and no seatbelt was in use, the report said. A possible medical condition is being cited as a contributing factor.
