Campbell County Sheriff’s Office: Echeta Road shooting suspect in custody

Kamren Crousore, 18, is wanted in connection to a March 4 shooting on Echeta Road (Campbell County Sheriff's Office)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — A man wanted in connection to a shooting earlier this week has been taken into custody, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday.

According to a March 8 release, Kamren Crousore, 18, was arrested at an unspecified residence without incident earlier this evening and is currently being held in the Campbell County Detention Center pending arraignment on formal charges.

Crousore is suspected of shooting a 19-year-old man at an Echeta Road residence on March 4.

Earlier this week, Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds said the 19-year-old was transported to the hospital before local law enforcement agencies were notified of the incident and has since been transferred to another hospital for treatment.

Deputies were dispatched to the residence after the shooting location was found to be in the county; however, Crousore had already fled. He was considered armed and dangerous at the time of the original report, according to Reynolds.

The release states that Crousore’s arrest follows many hours of dedicated investigative work by the sheriff’s office in cooperation with other area law enforcement agencies.

“This arrest reflects the unwavering commitment of our deputies and partner agencies to ensure justice and public safety,” Sheriff Scott Matheny said in a statement. “We appreciate the community’s patience and support as we worked tirelessly to locate Crousore.”

The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with additional information about this case to call it at 307-682-7271.
