GILLETTE, Wyo. — Two Campbell County landowners were recently recognized for providing land access to hunters and anglers, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

Blair and Tami Bishop run Bishop Land & Livestock in Campbell County. They were one of four landowners to receive a 2024 Access Recognition Program Award, which honors Wyoming landowners who provide access to or through their lands to hunters and anglers.

Since 1999, the Bishops have enrolled 1,800 acres in the Access Yes program, offering hunting opportunities for elk, deer, pronghorn and other game species. At 18,000 acres, their ranch combines sustainable cattle operations with pristine wildlife habitat.

“The Bishops’ belief in sharing Wyoming’s landscapes has benefited wildlife management and created countless memories for hunters, reflecting their deep commitment to stewardship and community,” Game and Fish says.

The other recipients of the 2024 Access Recognition Program Award were the Condict Ranch from the Saratoga area, Hoodoo Land Holdings near Cody and the Julian family of Kemmerer.

Game and Fish Director Angi Bruce says the Access Recognition Program is meant to show appreciation for landowners who permit sportspersons to hunt or fish on their property.

“A huge thank you to these landowners who truly make a difference for wildlife, hunting and fishing in Wyoming,” Bruce said in a statement. “Because of their commitment, there are more opportunities for individuals and families.”
