CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation has limited traffic along Interstate 25 between Casper and Buffalo to light and high-profile vehicles due to strong gusting winds moving through the state.
WYDOT has closed traffic in both directions to high-profile vehicles with a gross vehicle weight under 40,000. Light, high-profile vehicles include box trucks, campers and tractor trailers. No word has yet been given on when the road can be expected to fully reopen.
According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, wind gusts upwards of 65 mph are possible in the region throughout the day.
