GILLETTE, Wyo. — A Gillette man has been charged with felony drug possession following the discovery of 10 pounds of marijuana and other controlled substances in his hotel room last night, Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said Friday.
Jason Miller, 46, is charged with possessing and intending to deliver controlled substances after a search warrant yielded 10 pounds of marijuana, a large amount of THC edibles and THC wax from his room at the Alamo Inn, Wasson said.
According to the report, Miller was initially arrested on a parole violation warrant discovered when officers recognized him in a 2006 Nissan driving in an evasive manner around 11:26 p.m. Jan. 30. When they stopped him, officers could reportedly smell marijuana and searched Miller’s vehicle.
Wasson said officers located several grams of marijuana, THC wax and psilocybin mushrooms. Officers then responded to the Alamo Inn where Miller was staying and found the door to his room ajar.
Through the open door, officers could reportedly see multiple baggies and toolboxes. They secured a search warrant and ultimately located 10 pounds of marijuana, a large amount of THC edible and more THC wax, Wasson said.
According to Campbell County court records, Miller is charged with two counts of felony drug possession as well as felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
