GILLETTE, Wyo. — Academic reports for Westwood High, Little Powder Elementary and Meadowlark Elementary schools top a packed agenda for tonight’s Campbell County School Board meeting.
The district’s Board of Trustees is set to meet at 6 p.m. at the Educational Service Center, 1000 W. 8th St. in Gillette. GPA-TV will post a recording of the meeting on Channel 189’s archive later this week.
The school board has listed multiple items for approval under the consent agenda, which allows a single vote to approve all items. Those items include:
- District Fire Sprinkler Head Replacement
- ESC Heat Pumps Replacement
- Pronghorn, Rozet, and Wagonwheel Elementary Schools New Playground Structures
- 4-J Elementary Flooring Replacement
- 3-Year Asbestos Re-Inspection
- Lakeway Learning Center Technology and Training Room Renovations
- Printshop White Copy Paper
- Rawhide Elementary Concrete Improvements
The consent agenda also includes ratification of bids and quotes the administration has already approved in accordance with a resolution to conduct business adopted Dec. 10, 2024. Those include Lakeview Elementary interior painting, Special Services’ new all-wheel drive rear-lift mobility van, and Transfinder software and services renewal.
The consent agenda includes three contracts and agreements for the school board to approve, including student portrait agreements with Lifetouch for Little Powder Elementary and Twin Spruce Junior High schools. There’s also a bus lease and option-to-purchase agreement with First National Bank.
The consent agenda will also approve a Powder River Energy Community Committee Grant for Wright Junior Senior High School, student expulsions, a new mileage reimbursement rate that aligns with the IRS’s guidelines and a surplus request.
The board will also receive an update on the PowerSchool security breach that may have exposed certain students’ sensitive information.
