GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Gillette Police Department has announced that it has launched a new trading card program featuring its law enforcement officers.
That’s according to a release from the GPD, which stated that the cards are available to community members by request through the department’s officers.
The release states that each trading card features a different Gillette Police Department officer or K-9 team member, with statistics and “fun facts” printed on the back of the card.
The trading card program is intended to encourage positive interaction with local law enforcement. It
was inspired by a similar set of cards that was printed and distributed by the GPD in the 1990s.
