Winter storm watch issued for Campbell, Crook counties

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, has issued a winter storm watch for northeast Wyoming, advising of a potential storm that could bring several inches of snow. 

According to NWS in Rapid City, the winter storm watch is in effect as of 1:44 p.m. and encompasses the communities of Gillette, Rozet, Moorcroft, Hulett, Weston, Recluse, Pine Haven, Keyhole Reservoir and Devils Tower. 

With the approaching storm, the NWS in Rapid City is advising residents of possible heavy and blowing snow. The storm could bring between 3 and 6 inches of snow coupled with 40 mph winds. 

Per the NWS in Rapid City, the winter storm watch is in effect until Sunday afternoon and residents should plan on slippery road conditions along with significant blowing and drifting snow.
