GILLETTE, Wyo. — On Tuesday, Campbell County’s Board of Commissioners approved an agreement with Precision Kiosk Technologies for an automated breathalyzer kiosk used for probation check-ins and sobriety programs.
The agreement is for a term of 24 months, backdated to Nov. 1, 2024, with an automatic renewal clause on a month-to-month basis. PKT will provide the kiosk, software services and supplies, including cloud services, software updates and testing straws. Campbell County will be responsible for all sales taxes arising from user fees, per the agreement.
Each kiosk will cost the county $1,750 per month. Clients of the 24/7 program will be using it during the program’s open hours of 6–9 a.m. and 7–9 p.m. However, the sheriff’s office will be able to use it for other agencies at their request.
The agreement also states that PKT will own all the data collected by the kiosk and Campbell County will have access to that data during the term of the agreement. PKT retains ownership of the ABK and all related equipment.
The ABK is equipped with a variety of components, including a touch screen, computer, breathalyzer, bill and credit card acceptors, camera and fingerprint reader. The agreement also includes provisions for the supply and replacement of testing straws, printer paper and calibration canisters.
