Vonnie Rae Gross

Vonnie Rae Gross: 1938 – 2024

Vonnie Rae Gross, 86, passed away on December 24, 2024 in Gillette, Wyoming, surrounded by loving family members. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Ekalaka, Montana.

Vonnie was born August 27, 1938 to Faith and Ed Allen in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. She graduated from Belle Fourche High School and married David Gross on July 30, 1956. Vonnie and Dave ranched in the Bell Tower area for many years where they raised their three children: Steve, Shelley, and Casey. They were very active in the community and had many friends and neighbors. In 1989, Vonnie and Dave moved to Gillette, Wyoming to live near their children and grandchildren. Vonnie was an avid supporter of her grandkids sports activities and was very proud of them all.

Vonnie was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; husband; son, Casey; a grandson; and twin great-grandsons.

She is survived by her children: Steve (Leanne) Gross, Shelley (Kevin) Rehbein; sister, Vicki Allen; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.


Marjorie C. Kuhn: 1922 – 2024

Marjorie C. Kuhn, 102 years old. She was born in Quincy, Illinois on Oct. 16, 1922. She died in Gillette, Wyoming on Dec. 31, 2024. Her parents were Elmer and Editha Cordsiemon Mohrman, deceased. Her sister was Dorothy Morton, deceased.

She married Carl L. Kuhn, deceased, in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 28, 1944; they were married 64 years.

She graduated from Quincy Senior High School and attended Gem City Business College. They had three children: Steven L. Kuhn , deceased. Linda A. Rasmussen, Kinston, North Carolina;m Mary L. Carroll, Gillette, Wyoming. Their grandchildren are Tyler Kuhn, Gray, Maine, Matthew Kuhn, Plattsburgh, New York, Patrick Kuhn, Denver, Colorado, Ted Carroll, Phoenix, Arizona, Adam Carroll, Knoxville, Tennessee, Tricia Carroll, Seminole, Florida and Aaron MacNaughton, Wilmington, North Carolina. Their great-grandchildren are Avery Kuhn, Aiden Kuhn, and Jett Kuhn of Plattsburgh, New York; Eli Carroll and Charlotte Carroll of Knoxville, Tennessee; Scottlyn Kozikowski, Mason Kozikowski, and Griffin Kozikowski of Seminole, Florida. Marjorie will be interned next to her husband, Carl in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.
