GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County’s Board of Commissioners will consider approving agreements for juvenile detention services with 10 Wyoming counties.

The board meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Commissioner’s Chambers, 500 S. Gillette Ave. The meeting will be livestreamed on GPA-TV Channel 192.

The memoranda of understanding for juvenile detention services include agreements with Big Horn, Converse, Crook, Johnson, Natrona, Niobrara, Sheridan, Sweetwater, Washakie and Weston counties. While transportation to and from the county of origin are not included in the agreements, costs for medical services such as physical exams, screenings and sick calls are outlined.

The agreements will come before the board as part of its consent agenda, which also includes approvals for budget line transfer items, cancellation and rebate of taxes and comment letters both to the U.S. Department of Interior about the Bureau of Land Management’s Buffalo Resource Management Plan Amendment and in support to the Wyoming Business Council for Visionary Broadband’s application to secure funding for improved broadband services. The funding would come through the Wyoming Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment Program.

Also included in the consent agenda are the adoption of IRS 2025 mileage rates of 70 cents per mile for business mileage and 21 cents per mile for medical mileage and public official bonds for Timothy P. Hallinan with Campbell County School District and Elaine Backer with Green Valley Improvement & Service District.

The commissioners’ agenda includes selection of the board chairman for 2025 and a resolution authorizing an acting chairman of the board, designations of board liaisons and official newspaper and board appointments for the CARE Board and Weed & Pest.

Commissioners will also consider approving the Red Hills Improvement and Service District formation, declaration of election results and resolution.

There also are two agreements to come before the board: a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Grant agreement and AB Kiosk Automated Monitoring Solution Customer agreement. The first is for dust suppression in the county while the second is for a breathalyzer system.
