GILLETTE, Wyo. — Two community healthcare staples are embarking on a collaborative effort to explore the feasibility of evaluating local dementia care services.

According to a Dec. 27 release, Campbell County Health and The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center are joining hands in response to the evolving needs of Campbell County residents who are living with dementia and out of a desire to provide the highest quality of care.

As part of the collaborative exploration effort, CCH and The Legacy will examine dementia care services that could include developing a specialized unit or program providing a more comprehensive and supportive environment for residents with dementia, per the release.

“Our primary focus is ensuring that individuals living with dementia and their families have access to the best possible care,” said John Aams, administrator at The Legacy. “This exploration is about identifying innovative solutions to meet the growing needs of our community and enhance the quality of life for those impacted by dementia.”

Throughout the process, CCH and The Legacy will remain committed to transparency and intend to maintain dialogue with the community and stakeholders as they look at potential enhancements to dementia care services.
