GILLETTE, Wyo. — Several homes were recently announced as the winners of the City of Gillette’s 2024 Holiday Lighting Contest.
According to the city announcement, 212 E. Tonk St. took first place in the Judges’ Choice category while 503 Richards Ave. and 4307 Tanner Drive tied for second place.
In the People’s Choice category, 503 Richards Ave. took first place while 275 Sierra Circle and 102 College Park Circle took second and third place, respectively, per the city.
Nominations for the 2024 Holiday Lighting Contest closed on Dec. 9, with judges at the Campbell County Senior Center selecting the winners in the Judges Choice category on Dec. 10, according to the contest rules.
Voting for the People’s Choice category took place on Dec. 17, where residents were invited to vote on homes pictured in an online album. Voting closed on Dec. 20, with the winners announced on Dec. 24.
In each category, each first-place winner received $300 while second place received $200 and third place received $100, per the city.
