Chance of snow to come for Gillette residents

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Snow showers may come for the Gillette region later this week.

The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, reports that temperatures will continue to hover in the mid-40-degree range Christmas Eve through the end of the week. Skies will be sunny Tuesday.

Clouds will increase overnight and cover the skies early on Christmas, but clouds will decrease as the day progresses. Thursday will be mostly sunny with modest winds over 10 mph through the day. Gusts may be as high as 25 mph.

Thursday night will see a 30% chance of snow before 8 p.m. under mostly cloudy skies. Sunshine will return during the day Friday and over the weekend.

The highs and lows over the next several days are as follows:

  • Wednesday: High of 41, low of 25
  • Thursday: High of 47, low of 27
  • Friday: High of 45, low of 26
  • Saturday: High of 47, low of 26
