2 dead after head-on crash near Douglas on Saturday

CASPER, Wyo. — Two people are dead after their vehicles collided head-on over the weekend in Converse County.

According to a preliminary report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, a Chevy Equinox was heading south on Wyoming Highway 59 near milepost 31 when it crossed into the center and then the northbound lane.

The Chevy then collided head-on with a northbound Dodge Ram 2500 pickup.

The drivers were identified as Timothy Hurst, age 65, of Nebraska, and Dawson McCuin, age 23, of Arizona. Conditions were clear and dry at the time, and speed is listed as a possible contributing factor.
