GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Gillette College Board of Trustees officially welcomed new and returning members Friday in a swearing-in ceremony. This event marks the beginning of a new term for the board, which oversees the college’s governance and strategic direction.

Six trustees were reelected to their positions. Ellis Day joins the board as its newest member, taking over for Alison Ochs Gee, who chose not to seek reelection after a dedicated period of service.

The Board of Trustees is committed to advancing the college’s mission of providing quality education and enhancing opportunities for all students, a news release says. As Gillette College continues its journey toward accreditation, the trustees emphasized their focus on innovation, growth and collaboration with the community.

“We are pleased to welcome Trustee Ellis Day to our Board,” said Dr. Janell Oberlander, president of Gillette College. “We look forward to his contributions and to continuing our work with our re-elected members to support the mission of Gillette College.”

The Board of Trustees encourages community members to stay engaged and participate in shaping the future of education in Campbell County. More information about the Board of Trustees and Gillette College can be found at wgillettecollege.org/our-trustees.
