GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County School District Board of Trustees will elect the chair, vice chair, treasurer and clerk/assistant treasurer as part of its required annual reorganization when it meets Tuesday evening.
The trustees meet at 6 p.m. in the Educational Service Center, 1000 W. 8th St. in Gillette. A recording of the public meeting will be available on GPA-TV 189 within a few days.
As part of the annual reorganization, the board will designate meeting times and dates, depositories and the newspaper of record; re-adopt policies; designate legal counsel; appoint trustees to serve on boards and committees; and complete a financial disclosure.
The meeting agenda also calls for Rozet Elementary Principal Travis Heitmann and Pronghorn Elementary Principal Brian Brandon to share their respective academic reports.
Consent Agenda
In addition to accepting new hires, transfers, leaves of absence and resignations, the trustees’ consent agenda calls for the approval of:

- Lakeway Learning Center Concourse Renovation Design Services
- Mobile Lift System for Transportation
- Paintbrush Elementary Door Upgrades
- Prairie Wind Elementary Condensing Unit Replacement
- Recluse Elementary Condensing Unit Replacement
- Rozet Elementary Fire Alarm Upgrade
- Twin Spruce Junior High Fire Alarm Upgrade
In all, recommended bids to be awarded in the consent agenda total $824,863.37.
Also up for approval are the ratification of bids and quotes and the ratification of contracts and agreements. Those include:
- Camera Upgrade for District Buses
- 4-J HVAC System Replacement – Engineering Services
- Conestoga and Paintbrush Elementary Repairs – ADA Ramps
- New Aquatic Center Weight Room Equipment
- Renewal for District Destiny Library Resource License
- Special Education Related Services Agreement with Desiree Rivera
- New Little Powder Materials Testing and Inspection Services with Nelson Engineering
- Stocktrail Elementary School Spanish Book Fair Agreement with Feria Del Libro
- Memorandum of Understanding and Data Sharing Agreement with Mathematica, Inc.
In other business, the trustees will hear from Erica Mund with Bennett, Weber and Hermstad LLP for a review of the 2023–24 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
Superintendent Alex Ayers will present awards received at the annual Wyoming School Board Association conference as well.
