CASPER, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming has produced several NFL players currently making an impact. Here’s how they did in the most recent week’s slate of games.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

The Bills’ star quarterback was effective in his team’s 35–10 drubbing of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Josh Allen threw for 148 yards on an incredibly efficient 13-of-17 night. He threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran another one into the end zone himself.

Allen also delivered one of the most dramatic, electrifying moments of the entire NFL season with his rushing TD. After passing to wide receiver Amari Cooper, the former UW standout promptly had the ball pitched back to him before he ran to the far pylon and dove across the goal line for a touchdown.

Allen’s 20 passing TDs are the sixth most in the league. He has thrown for 2,691 yards thus far this year.

Frank Crum, Denver Broncos

Frank Crum, a rookie offensive lineman, did not play in his team’s Monday Night Football win over the Cleveland Browns by a score of 41–32.

Crum has not taken the field since Week 8.

Tashaun Gipson Sr., San Francisco 49ers

Tashaun Gipson did not factor much into his team’s loss to Allen and the Bills in Week 13.

The veteran safety, in just his third game back from a suspension that sidelined him for the early goings of the season, took the field for just a pair of downs and did not record a stat in that limited playing time.

Carl Granderson, New Orleans Saints

The Saints’ Carl Granderson was solid in their game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, though the team’s offense sputtered in a 21–14 loss.

Granderson finished the night with a pair of tackles and a pair of quarterback hits.

Despite slightly regressing from a stellar 2023–24 season in which he emerged as one of the most improved players in the league, Granderson has still put together a strong 2024–25 season thus far. He currently has 40 tackles, 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble to his name this year.

Chad Muma, Jacksonville Jaguars

Chad Muma did not record a statistic in his team’s 23–20 loss to the Houston Texans this week.

He appeared in the majority of special teams downs, but did not line up for a defensive play.

Logan Wilson, Cincinnati Bengals

Casper native Logan Wilson was inactive in his team’s 44–38 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Wilson was sidelined with a knee injury, according to reports from the Bengals organization. No word has been given on whether he’ll be ready to play in his team’s upcoming game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Wilson boasts 104 tackles on the season thus far.

Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars

Andrew Wingard did not record a statistic in his team’s loss to the Texans in Week 13.

The safety took the field for a handful of defensive and special teams downs. Wingard, who has seen extremely limited playing time this season due to an injury that kept him off the field for the first 10 weeks, has one tackle to his name this season.
