ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — The Muley Fanatic Foundation and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced that the third annual Mule Deer Days will be March 21–23 at the Sweetwater County Events Complex in Rock Springs.
Mule Deer Days is a weekend where wildlife enthusiasts can support mule deer conservation by attending informational seminars, visiting with local wildlife professionals and attending a vendor show with gear and equipment suited for people who enjoy spending time outdoors.
The inaugural Mule Deer Days was hosted in 2023 and raised $472,410 for mule deer conservation. Each year, an all-volunteer project allocation committee determines the distribution of funds. The PAC is selected from local stakeholders who collaborate to prioritize projects significantly benefiting mule deer conservation.
Allocations from the event have been gone to various causes, including the US 189 South Kemmerer Highway Wildlife Crossing Project, the Muley Fanatic Fellowship, the Putting the ‘U’ in Hunt Program, the Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition, the Iron Mountain Juniper Control Treatment Project and various cheatgrass treatment projects.
Wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to show their support for mule deer by attending the free event and learning more about how collaborative efforts are making a difference for mule deer in Wyoming.
