GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette-area residents should expect sunny skies throughout the coming weekend, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Today will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 39 degrees. The NWS in Rapid City reports windchill values as low as 19 throughout the day. Only light winds of 5–8 mph are expected.
Skies should remain mostly clear at night, with a low temperature around 20 in the forecast and windchill values as low as 13. Winds could gust at speeds of up to 16 mph.
Sunday is again expected to be sunny, and the NWS in Rapid City reports a high near 37 degrees is likely. Windchill values will drop to as low as 14 during the day, however. West winds of 8–10 mph in the morning are expected to pick up speed as the day goes, reaching speeds of up to 20 mph.
