LARAMIE, Wyo. — As the collegiate volleyball season ends, university volleyball players around the country are receiving all-conference honors. In Laramie, three University of Wyoming volleyball members are being mentioned in Mountain West all-conference consideration.
Outside hitting sophomore Paige Lauterwasser, averaging around 14 kills per game and 3.44 per set, was named to the Mountain West All-Conference. This is the Cowgirl’s first time on the team. She is ranked eighth in the conference for points per set and had three games where she scored over 20 kills, according to the University of Wyoming Athletics Department.
Kasia Partyka, a senior setter, was the other Cowgirl placed on the all-conference team. This marks her second year in a row placing on the Mountain West All-Conference Team.
Partyka’s 9.47 assists per set ranks her fourth in the conference. She had only one game in league play where she did not score over 30 assists.
Middle blocker Sarah Holcomb earned an honorable mention in all-conference consideration. Holcomb’s 1.42 blocks per set is just .01 blocks shy of tying with the conference’s best blocker, Rheanna Deen-Jackson of UNLV. Her 2.07 kills per set also place her fifth in the league this season.
The Cowgirls are finishing the 2024 volleyball season 15–12, which places them at a 56% winning percentage. Wyoming is 7–11 in conference play, which ranks them eighth in the Mountain West.
