13th Annual Jingle Bell Run to raise Christmas money for families

GILLETTE, Wyo. — An annual 2.9-mile winter race will look to raise money to bring Christmas to families in need this holiday season, according to the Campbell County School District. 

According to the event post, on Saturday, Dec. 7, residents are invited to the Campbell County Recreation Center field house for the 13th Annual Jingle Bell Run. All proceeds will go to families struggling to make ends meet. 

The event kicks off at 8:15 a.m. with a kid’s fun run. Walkers will start at 8:30 a.m. and runners will start at 9 a.m., the event post says. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite ugly sweater, and the best-dressed participant will receive a $25 gift card. Gift cards in various amounts are also reserved for all first-place winners.

Pre-registration remains open until Dec. 6. Adult registration costs $20 with a shirt and $14 without a shirt while kids registration costs $17 with a shirt and $12 without a shirt. 

Interested participants may bring a completed registration form to the event on Dec. 7. Same-day registration costs $25 for adults and $20 for kids, per the form.
