Abigail Galarneau named 2024 Christmas Pin Winner

GILLETTE, Wyo. — During the Gillette City Council meeting Nov. 19, Abigail Galarneau was recognized for her winning Christmas Pin design.

Abigail is a student in Ms. Chism’s art class at Lakeview Elementary.

The Christmas Pin Contest has become a beloved community tradition over the last 20 years. Each fall, sixth-grade students from the community are invited to submit their original sketches for the annual Christmas Pin Contest.

This year, 222 students from seven elementary schools submitted entries.

Pins featuring Abigail’s winning design are available to the public in the City Clerk’s office, located on the first floor of City Hall at 201 E. 5th St. Pins are limited to one per person.
