GILLETTE, Wyo. — Providence Crossing Park near Hillcrest Elementary School and Campbell County High School will receive a new, operational irrigation system with the Gillette City Council awarding the $130,000 project to G&G Landscaping Inc. on Nov. 19.
According to the city, the park and its associated irrigation system were originally constructed between 2013 and 2014. The irrigation system was largely removed as a result of a drainage project and was rendered inoperable.
The irrigation project awarded to G&G Landscaping will restore irrigation to the park through the installation of a new 2-inch tap, meter vault and POC assembly as well as a new irrigation controller and a new irrigation system to the main portions of the park, the city says.
Construction will begin in March 2025 and is scheduled for completion before the summer months.
