GILLETTE, Wyo. — On Tuesday, the Campbell County Board of Commissioners set next year’s holiday schedule for office and department closings.
Paid days off for the following holidays are set for employees of these offices and departments: Airport, Assessor, Attorney, Clerk, Commissioner’s, Clerk of District Court, Coroner, Extension, Fair, HR/Risk, ITS, Juvenile Probation, Parks and Recreation, Public Health, Public Works (except Landfill), Recycle Center, Road & Bridge, Sheriff’s Office and Treasurer.
- Equality Day: Monday, Jan. 20
- Presidents Day: Monday, Feb. 17
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 26
- Independence Day: Friday, July 4
- Labor Day: Monday, Sept. 1
- Columbus Day: Monday, Oct. 13
- Veterans Day: Tuesday, Nov. 11
- Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, Nov. 27
- Employee Appreciation Day: Friday, Nov. 28
- Christmas Eve: Wednesday, Dec. 24 (close at noon)
- Christmas Day: Thursday, Dec. 25
- New Year’s Day 2026: Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026
Some holidays are floating holidays for certain departments. Commissioners expressed interest in treating the Nov. 5 general election as a county holiday, closing most departments. Election Office staff would likely have that as a floating holiday. No action was taken to make that change Tuesday, but staff were directed to explore the possibility.
