GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County’s general election results from Nov. 5 are now official.
The county’s Canvassing Board certified the results Nov. 10 after two races were recounted.
On Wednesday, Campbell County Clerk Cindy Lovelace said the recounts were required by Wyoming Statute 22-16-109(b) because there was less than a 1% difference in the votes cast for the winning and losing candidates. Those races were for Campbell County School District 1 and Gillette City Council Ward 2.
Lovelace thanked those involved in making Campbell County’s election “secure and accurate.”
