Veterans Day 5K
Hand Therapy of Wyoming is hosting a Veteran’s Day 5K, starting at Gillette College Technical Education Center, 3251 S. 4-J Road in Gillette. Join us for some early-morning running and fun. All proceeds will be donated to local veterans.

Gillette College Showcase
Interested in attending Gillette College but want to know what is offered? Come to a Gillette College Showcase.
During the showcase, attendees will see what the admissions process is like, have financial aid questions answered and then hear from faculty about what their program can offer. Plus, after the Showcase, there is optional free testing, the opportunity to complete an application and complimentary lunch at our on-campus restaurant, High Plains Grill.
Pre-registration preferred, but walk-ins welcome.
Event begins at 8:30 a.m. at 300 W. Sinclair St. in Gillette.
- 8–8:30: Check-in with light pastries
- 8:30–9:45: Welcome & Information Showcase
- 9:45–10: Break/Walk to Program Specific Showcase
- 10–11: Program Showcase with Faculty
- 11–1:30: (Optional) Testing, Complete an application, Financial Aid Questions

ABLE’s Friendsgiving and 2nd Anniversary
ABLE is hosting its second annual Friendsgiving. Attendees are asked to bring a dessert, drink or side dish to share from noon to 4 p.m. at 1890 Warlow Drive, Suite A in Gillette.
Kenny Bergeson Benefit Dinner and Auction
A benefit dinner and auction will be hosted at Moose Lodge of Gillette No. 1957, 2704 Hackathorn Lane in Gillette, at 1 p.m. to help Kenny Bergeson with medical expenses. Auction starts at 4 p.m. with chicken-fried steak to follow. Dinner is $15.
“Kenny needs our help with medical expenses for 3 separate surgeries he must have. He is having a hard time getting around and falls because he needs his hip replaced. He has to have his teeth fixed first before they can do surgery. Medicare will not cover these expenses. Then they have to remove the blood clot screen that’s in his leg. After that they can do the hip replacement. Kenny has a long road to recovery,” organizers said.
Cash donations can be made at the Moose Lodge. Organizers are also taking auction items.
“Over the years, Kenny has donated his time to many organizations in town, such as the Moose Lodge, Gillette Thunder Speedway, Sons of the American Legion and many more. Please help us help him,” organizers said.
Fall Frolics Games and Red/Green Chili Competition
The Office Saloon, 1400 U.S. Highway 14 in Gillette, is hosting Fall Frolics games starting at 1 p.m.
Compete in teams of two in various relay games. All proceeds will be donated to Blessings in a Backpack. Games are $10 each with four games total.
Inviting all amateur and professional chili chefs to join the competition with a $5 entry fee. Winner announced at 5:30 p.m. with all chilis judged and voted on by the public. Green chili first-place winner gets 50% of the pot while the red chili first-place winner gets the other 50%.
