Barbara Lee Aldredge: 1947 – 2024

On November 4, 2024, our beloved mother, Barbara Lee Aldredge (Moody), born on July 14, 1947, peacefully passed away at the age of 77 at the Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming.

Barbara was born in Butte, Montana to Harley and Pauline Moody. She was the third of four siblings. On May 14, 1971, she married James (Jim) Aldredge in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Together they had two daughters, Polli Campbell and Jami Desavedo.

Barbara had a remarkable baking and cake decorating talent; particularly her exceptional buttercream frosting. She was an active member of Eagle’s Lodge in Gillette, Wyoming, consistently attending all functions and activities. Barbara’s compassionate nature extended to offering support and guidance to those she encountered, mentoring numerous individuals, and fostering their growth and self-confidence.

Barbara deeply cherished her community at the Legacy and formed numerous friendships and family bonds there. She eagerly anticipated her arts and craft sessions with friends and family, proudly displaying her creations. Her passion for a mean game of bingo and trivia fueled her enthusiasm for friendly competition.

Barbara is survived by her children: Polli Campbell and her spouse, Shawn Campbell and Jami Desavedo and her spouse, Les Desavedo. She has four grandchildren: Jennifer (Campbell) Phillips, TJ Campbell, Tyrell Desavedo, and Jazmin Desavedo. Barbara also had 14 great-grandchildren; her first great-great-grandchild is expected in June 2025. Her siblings are Sharon Miller and Diana Surman. And she has many nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Aldredge; her parents, Harley and Pauline Moody; and her sister, Linda Conners.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to hospice or charity of your choice in Barbara’s name.
