CCH Board of Trustees accepting applications to fill vacant seat

GILLETTE, Wyo. — On Wednesday, Campbell County Health announced that its Board of Trustees is accepting applications to fill a vacant seat with a deadline set for mid-November.

Applications are available online or in person in the CCH Administration Office, according to Board Chairman Alan Stuber, who says applications must be submitted by Nov. 20.

“On Thursday, Nov. 21, the Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting to review applications,” Stuber wrote in a letter accompanying the announcement. “If the board reaches a unanimous decision, a selection will be made. If a unanimous decision is not reached, then the board will schedule interviews with no more than five candidates the following week.”

Should the interviews be scheduled, the board intends to hold another special meeting to reach a final decision, per Stuber’s letter. The new member will be sworn in and complete orientation before the board meeting on Dec. 5.

Per CCH, the vacancy is the result of Dr. Mark Hoskinson’s resignation from the board. He reportedly tendered his resignation to focus on his new clinic. The board ultimately chose to postpone selecting a successor until after the general election.

According to Stuber, the postponement was intended to ensure a more seamless transition and allow the board to move forward with the full composition of the board in place.
