General election results 2024: Schrader, Lembke elected to Wright Town Council

Doug Schrader and Jason Lembke

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Two seats on the Wright Town Council are up for grabs this year. Three candidates vied for the seats.

Elected to the seats were incumbent Doug Schrader and Jason Lembke with 424 votes and 326 votes, respectively. Crystal O’Bryan received 100 votes.

Schrader, a former math teacher at Wright Junior Senior High School, has served on the Wright Town Council for eight years since his retirement from teaching. In a questionnaire response to County 17, he said he sought reelection to see projects that were started during his tenure completed.

Lembke, a longtime Wright resident, has worked in Parks and Recreation for over a decade. He works for the Wright Recreation Center and coaches basketball at Wright Junior Senior High School. He was previously appointed to the Town Council to fill a vacancy.

O’Bryan works for the Campbell County Library system and runs the nonprofit Helping Hands of Wright, which organizes events such as clothing swaps and a mobile food pantry for the community. She said in her questionnaire that she sought a seat to give low- and middle-income community members more of a voice in local government.
