GILLETTE, Wyo. — Incumbent Bob Jordan and Republican newcomer Jerry R. Means have been elected to fill two seats on the Campbell County Board of Commissioners.
Jordan and Means were the two Republican candidates advancing from the primary election in August. They were joined on the general election ballot by Jacob Dalby of the Constitution Party and Independent Bill Fortner.
Jordan received 9,783 votes, or 35.43% of the total, while Means received 11,774 votes, or 42.65%. Dalby earned 2,175 votes, or 7.88%, and Fortner got 3,484 votes, or 12.62%.
Jordan was selected in January 2024 to fill a vacated seat on the commissioners board. He previously served on the Conservation District Board and on the Campbell County Planning Board.
Means, who serves on the Campbell County Land Board, said he feels the county, state and federal government already tax the citizens enough and officials need to always work to be more efficient with taxpayer money.
Neither Dalby nor Fortner returned answers to County 17’s election questionnaires.
Results remain unofficial until certified by the local canvassing board. Jordan and Means will serve four years on the Board of County Commissioners.
