Update, 11:20 p.m. — While votes are still being tallied across the country to determine the next President of the United States, Campbell County votes show the community overwhelmingly supports Trump.
With all votes accounted for, Trump received 15,599 votes to Harris’s 2,004.
GILLETTE, Wyo. — With Campbell County votes recorded for seven precincts, all rural polling locations and early voting ballots, former President Donald Trump holds a healthy local lead over Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris for the highest position in the country.
According to preliminary results from the Campbell County Clerk’s office, Trump received 9,347 local votes, roughly 86.4% of the total votes cast. Democrat Kamala Harris received 1,303 votes from Campbell County’s electorate.
Across the state, the Associated Press reports that Trump has received 156,199 votes to Harris’s 53,262.
