GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County residents soundly rejected a lodging excise tax of 2%, as well as three propositions funded by additional taxes.
Unofficial general election results show 9,265 votes, or 53.4% of the total, against the 2% lodging tax, to 8,084 votes, or 46.6%, in favor.
Proposition 1 failed with 11,936 votes against, or 69.54%, to 5,228 for, or 30.46%. Proposition 2 failed with 9,992 votes against, or 57.12%, to 7,501 for, or 42.88%. Proposition 3 failed with 11,779 votes against, or 66.94%, to 5,818 votes for, or 33.06%.
General election results will remain unofficial until certified by the local canvassing board.
