GILLETTE, Wyo. — Due to recent moisture, the Campbell County Fire Department has officially rescinded countywide Stage 1 Fire Restrictions.
The restrictions were implemented earlier this year on July 5 due to dry conditions and high fire danger. The restrictions banned open fires and fire-related activities, according to the fire prevention order from CCFD leadership.
“Thanks to recent weather, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are officially lifted across Campbell County,” a CCFD social media update says.
Residents are still asked to remain cautious. Even though the weather is cooler, dry weather could still raise the fire risk again, CCFD says.
