UW’s Lauterwasser named MW Offensive Player of Week

LARAMIE, Wyo. — University of Wyoming volleyball standout Paige Lauterwasser was instrumental in her team’s recent perfect week, and has been named the Mountain West’s Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.

This marks the first time Lauterwasser has been named player of the week.

Lauterwasser led the Cowgirls to a 2–0 week with wins over Air Force and New Mexico. She averaged 4.13 kills and 4.63 points per set during the week while hitting an impressive .338.

In Wyoming’s win at Air Force, Lauterwasser led the way with 19 kills. Against UNM, Lauterwasser had 14 kills with a .355 hitting percentage.

The Cowgirls and Lauterwasser are in the midst of a four-match homestand and will return to action Thursday against San Diego State.
