GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County Health is partnering with the Northeast Wyoming Community Health Foundation to evaluate the feasibility of reopening the Close to Home Hospice House.
The initiative aims to provide a compassionate and dignified space for individuals nearing end of life and enhance inpatient hospice services in the community, a news release states.
CCH is considering collaborating with a third-party operator to manage the facility. Discussions are in the preliminary stages, and no final decisions have been made.
“Our primary focus is the well-being of our community, and we are committed to transparency as we engage in these preliminary discussions,” the release states. “While no definitive decisions have been made, we believe that this opportunity could significantly benefit the residents of Gillette and surrounding areas by providing essential inpatient hospice care services.”
Hospital officials said they will keep the community informed as discussions continue.
