MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, Wyo. — The last day for Yellowstone National Park visitors to drive the Beartooth Highway, also known as US 212, between Red Lodge, Montana, and Yellowstone National Park’s northeast entrance is Monday, Oct. 14.
The highway will remain closed for the season and reopen in 2025. However, automobile travel east of Cooke City, Montana, to the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway will remain open until early November, weather permitting.
People can check the Wyoming Department of Transportation website and Montana’s site for road closures and other updates and status reports.
