Early voting for Wyoming general election kicks off

CASPER, Wyo. — Absentee voting for the general election officially started Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Wyoming, according to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s office.

Early voting starts 28 days before the general election Nov. 5. All early ballots must be received by the county clerk’s office by 7 p.m. Election Day.

According to Wyoming Public Media, the U.S. Postal Service recommends mailing ballots back at least one week before the election for them to arrive on time.

According to the Secretary of State’s website, early voting ballots can be requested in various ways:

  • By Phone – Call your county clerk
  • By Mail – Print and fill out the application form and mail to your county clerk
  • By Email – Put “Absentee Ballot Request” in the subject line
  • In Person – Request an absentee ballot in person at your county clerk’s office

Military and overseas voters should use this form. Other voters should use this form.

Absentee ballots can be mailed to your local county clerk’s office or be submitted in person by 7 p.m. Election Day.
