GILLETTE, Wyo. — After working hard behind the scenes to secure funding for a portable teaching kitchen for patron events, the Campbell County Library will be unveiling the unit for the first time this weekend.
The portable teaching kitchen was purchased with funding from the Wyoming Community Foundation and the local chapter of The Library Foundation Inc., and comes equipped with a multi-burner range and a functioning sink, according to a presentation given during a recent library board meeting. The unit will allow the library to host an expanded roster of community classes geared at cooking on site in the library.
According to the Facebook post announcing the event, Kitchen Kickoff will feature classes and samples from a variety of businesses around town. The event begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, and will run until 2 p.m.
