GILLETTE, Wyo. — This weekend, Keyhole State Park will waive day use and entry fees for a cleanup effort in celebration of National Public Lands Day.
On Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon, parkgoers are invited to join Keyhole State Park staff and camp hosts in picking up litter and clearing out fire pits in campgrounds and along the cliffs, according to an event posting.
Eventgoers will meet at the Cliffs Shelter in the Coulter Bay Campground before the event starts, the posting says.
This year, some participants will have access to paddleboards to clean up areas ordinarily inaccessible from shore. Paddleboards, paddles and life jackets will be provided free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
