CASPER, Wyo. — The La Bonte Fire that had been burning some 20 miles south of Douglas is now 100% contained.
According to an update from the Bureau of Land Management Wyoming, the containment was completed on Wednesday after the fire burned some 3,500 acres in a remote and rugged area. Both BLM and private land were affected by the fire.
The fire was first reported on Sept. 12, according to earlier updates from the BLM. No cause for the fire has been reported. At least 200 personnel on land and in the air were working on the fire at some point.
