GILLETTE, Wyo.— Tickets for the annual Pumpkin Splash event at the Campbell County Rec Center go on sale next week, and you’ll have to act fast to get in on the pumpkin dunk.
According to a post the Rec Center made on Facebook on Friday, tickets will go quickly for the event, which is divided into two time slots with 125 tickets per slot. Tickets cost $10 and give attendees access to the whole pool deck for activities including live music, pumpkin decorating and more.
Also included is the main event in the pool itself, where swimmers of all ages are able to open swim through a floating pumpkin patch in the pool. Attendees can select a pool pumpkin of their choice and decorate it on dry land. The event is open to all ages, but young children or other non-swimmers are required to wear a life jacket and be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Tickets will be available through the Rec Center’s online class sign-up portal, but no registration with the portal is needed in order to purchase tickets. There is a limit of 15 tickets per purchase. Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. The event will be held on Friday, October 4 with two 90-minute time slots starting at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
