GILLETTE, Wyo. — A woman was arrested for felony strangulation after reportedly assaulting her husband on Crestline Circle early today, according to the Gillette Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to Crestline Circle around 2:26 a.m. Sept. 19 after a 24-year-old man called to report his wife, a 29-year-old woman, assaulted him, Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said.
When they arrived, officers saw the man bleeding from his mouth with abrasions on his neck. He also had scratches on his body and bruising around his abdomen, Wasson said.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene to evaluate the man, and the 29-year-old woman denied all of the man’s allegations, per Wasson.
The man, however, provided officers with a video of the assault which supported arresting the woman for felony strangulation of a household member and domestic battery. She was subsequently taken into custody.
