GILLETTE, Wyo. — A new wildfire start was reported near the border between Johnson and Campbell counties late Tuesday evening. According to a Facebook post from the Campbell County Fire Department, the fire is located directly on the county line south of Fortification Road.
The fire — which has been named the Livingston Draw Fire, according to WildCAD — was estimated at 500–1,000 acres in size. The CCFD noted that rain in the area was limiting the activity of the fire, but multiple other starts had been reported in the county and were being responded to by fire crews.
CCFD was also working with crews from both Johnson and Sheridan counties on the Livingston Draw Fire, along with Campbell County Road and Bridge and the Bureau of Land Management.
